On November 28, a group of Scouts from the 11th Belize St. Martin’s Scout Unit accompanied by National Scout Executive Hilberto B. Riverol, visited the Tourism Village with the purpose of meeting for the first time a member of Troop 303 (Long Beach Area Council) located in southern California.

This was Beverly’s first visit to Belize and she wanted to contact Scouts from Belize to establish the international bond of brotherhood that exists worldwide.

After a few minutes of waiting, Beverly disembarked from a Catamaran that brought her ashore and the Belize Scouts along with Leader Lennox Flowers gave Bev a Belizean Scouting welcome and after some introductions, she was presented with a Belize national scarf.

B-P once said “Scouting is a brotherhood - a scheme which, in practice, disregards differences of class, creed, country or color, through the undefinable spirit that pervades it - the spirit of God’s gentleman”.
