On November 28, a group of Scouts from the 11th Belize St. Martin’s Scout Unit accompanied by National Scout Executive Hilberto B. Riverol, visited the Tourism Village with the purpose of meeting for the first time a member of Troop 303 (Long Beach Area Council) located in southern California.

This was Beverly’s first visit to Belize and she wanted to contact Scouts from Belize to establish the international bond of brotherhood that exists worldwide.
After a few minutes of waiting, Beverly disembarked from a Catamaran that brought her ashore and the Belize Scouts along with Leader Lennox Flowers gave Bev a Belizean Scouting welcome and after some introductions, she was presented with a Belize national scarf.

In return Beverly presented a set of Boy Scouts of America badges to the Scouts present which were distributed among themselves.
Beverly Hadley presently serves as Unit Treasurer for Scout Troop 303 in the Long Beach Area Council located in southern California. This is a fairly new Troop that has 14 Scout members and 20 registered adult volunteer Leaders. Beverly also serves as District Advancement Chairperson. She is Wood Badge trained and recently received the coveted BSA Silver Beaver Award for her devoted volunteer service to Scouting. Beverly is married to long-time Scout Leader Stan Hadley. She has 2 wonderful daughters, 3 sons and 4 grandchildren. Her two older sons are both proud Eagle Scouts. Her youngest son is soon to be Eagle.
