Part 1 of the Intermediate Course for both Cub Scout and Scout Leaders was held on January 29 & 30, 2011 at Camp Oakley, Burrell Boom. Eight Scout Leaders and Six Cub Scout Leaders attended the training.

The Leaders were given information on how to adequately use the Cub Scout and Scout Manuals, so as to equip them with knowledge and skills needed to better manage their Cub Packs and Scout Units respectively.

Skilled, knowledgeable, experienced and trained Leaders from the Capacity Building Team of The Scout Association of Belize carried out the training. This two-day event was packed with educational sessions, singing, games, story telling and a campfire.

The participants hailed from Corozal, Orange Walk, Belize City, Stann Creek and Toledo. The group interacted enthusiastically, forming new friendships and shared many Scouting experiences to aid each other to better improve and develop their Packs and Units.

Part 2 of the Intermediate Course for both Cub Scout and Scout Leaders will be held on March 19 & 20, 2011 at Camp Oakley, Burrell Boom. It is anticipated that more Leaders from both Sections will partake as we prepare for the 13th Wood Badge Course in July 2011.
