“Scouts Empowering Females with Leadership Skills”

 

A “Scouts Empowering Females with Leadership Skills Workshop” was hosted by The Scout Association of Belize at Camp Oakley, Burrell Boom this past weekend from February 26 -28, 2016. This workshop was attended by seventy-two women, ages 14 and above from country wide. The females included Scouts, Girl Guides and interested females from the general public.

“The Sharjah 7th International Scout Gathering", under the patronage and sponsorship of H.E. Sheik Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammad El-Qasemmi, the member of the Supreme Council of United Arab Emirates and the Governor of Sharjah took place from February 1 - 10, 2016.

                      Scouts AIM for Scout Headquarters Building

President of The Scout Association of Belize Jersha Lennan has set a goal of raising funds to start construction of a Headquarters building for Scouts of Belize. This goal was set at the Annual Meeting of the Scout Assembly held in July of 2015. Immediately after announcing her priority goal as President, several Scout Groups pledged their support by donating $1,000. each towards the building fund.

Information Course for new Leaders in the Orange Walk District

Scouting has taken root in the Orange Walk District once again. Sr. Field Executive Ricardo Alcoser organized an Information Course that was held at Trial Farm Government School on Saturday January 30, 2016.
