Fourteen Leaders in the Corozal District received training on Saturday January 14, 2017. The Course, an Introduction into Scouting, is a one-day Course which runs for about 8 hours.

 

The objective of the Course is to give the participants an overall view of the Scout Movement and share basic information which he or she needs to know on Scouting.

 

The Course content is centered on the Educational Proposal of Scouting, and includes additional information on the history, structure and role of adults in the Scout Movement.

 

This is the first Course all Leaders in Scouting must attend as part of their training commitment, followed by two Basic Courses and then participate in advanced training. New Leaders are expected to complete training over a two year period.

 

The Course was held at the Methodist School Auditorium and was conducted by members of the National Training Team under the leadership of Roberto Lopez, National Training Commissioner/Adults in Scouting Director.

 

Certificates of attendance were presented to the participants at the conclusion of the Course.
