Who Can Participate:
Current 2008 registered Cub Scouts, Scouts, Venture Scouts & Adult
Leaders
Accommodation:
Participants can bring their own
tents or sleep in classrooms at San Narciso Catholic School.
Registration:
Registration fee for the
event is $15.00 per Scout and Leader plus $5.00 annual registration
fee if not registered for 2008 as yet.
Program:
Saturday night activities will include cultural presentations and
entertainment from the various Units of the Corozal District,
Escuela Mexico Drum Corps Band performance and a campfire explosion.
Lunch
and supper on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday
Visits
to various canefields to get first-hand experience in cutting
sugarcane and enjoy the sweet taste of Corozal sugarcane. The event
will cater to Cub Scouts and Scouts.
Participation in all fun games for Cub Scouts and Scouts including a
treasure hunt within the village of San Narciso. Locate shops, tire
repair shop, etc.
Fire
Engine Water Splash
Visit
and shopping in the Corozal Free Zone (Participants are to make
arrangements with their chartered buses for transport to the
Zone/San Narciso/Free Zone/home). This will be the final part of
the program).
Registration Deadline:
Thursday February 14, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. Absolutely no late
registrations will be accepted. Registration forms can be sent to
H.Q. or call Mr. Rafael Ramirez, District Chairman at 664-5458 to
register. Please observe the registration deadline to avoid
disappointments.
Transportation:
Will be the responsibility of each participating Scout Group. Scout
Groups should plan on arriving by 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The
opening ceremony will be at 10:30 a.m. in Class B uniform. Scout
Groups are expected to return to their respective districts after
the visit and shopping at the Corozal Free Zone.
Venture Scouts:
There will be only one activity for Venture Scouts over the weekend,
which is
“GREASY PIG
CHASE”
but their assistance is required with all the games, so we are
counting with the support of all Venture Scouts who attend this
event.
