The Belize Youth Award is a prestigious national honor bestowed upon an outstanding young person or agency that has demonstrated high standards of achievement and commitment within their various fields for the development of youth in Belize.  

Alexandria  Smith  was awarded 2^nd Place Honors in the Youth in Media Category 2011,  she was also awarded   2^nd place honors in this category  in 2010.

Alexandria Smith is 19 years old currently enrolled in the History Bachelors Program at the  University of Belize  and is a graduate of Saint Catherine Academy .   She is a member of The  Scout Association of Belize Headquarters Venture Scout Unit having earned the Venture Scout Award and now is currently working towards her  Queen's Scout Award.   Alexandria  worked with the National Committee for Family and Children  from 1^st to 4^th form as an ITR.  During this time she has helped create and develop several  television and radio ads  about the rights of  a child.   She has also taken part in the International Day of Broadcasting for Youths.
