Arrival of Guests from National

This took place in the lovely village of Indian Creek in the Toledo District.  The program began with a guard of honor mounted by the Cub Scouts and Leaders and as the distinguished guest arrived they were welcomed by acting principal and Assistant Cub Scout Leader, Auxiliadora Mendez.  Cub Scout Leader Ramiro Coc had the Cub Scouts in formation and in its traditional manner the Cub Scouts did the Grand Howl Ceremony, promising to always do their best to live by the Cub Scout promise and Law.

The official program followed and the welcome address was delivered by Mrs. Myrtle Williams, the principal of the school presently on long leave.  She said that she was so pleased to finally see the Cub Scout program taking root and pledged her ongoing support.

The investiture ceremony followed and the 12 newest members of the 11th Indian Creek Cub Scout Pack were welcomed into Scouting.  Immediately following the investiture ceremony, Leaders of the Pack were presented with their Warrants, authorizing them to lead the Cub Pack following the Policies and Rules of The Association.

Mr. Joseph Cayetano, Assistant Local Manager for Catholic Schools and a Scout himself delivered an address and spoke about his days as a Scout.  He told the Cub Scouts that they will not regret joining the Scouts because they will have fun camping, hiking and making new friends wherever they go.
