This Workshop on the application of the Cub Scout Leader Handbook
and Cub Scout program will be held over the weekend of April 17 - 18,
2010 at Camp Oakley.
The program will start at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday April 17 and is expected to run until 4:45 p.m. to include coffee breaks and lunch. (see attached agenda below)
On the morning of April 18 the program will start with a traditional Scout's Own after breakfast and then proceed with three final presentations. A special lunch to endorse the program will be held outdoors (weather permitting), during which time certificates of participation will be presented to the Leaders who attend the two days Workshop.
An administration fee of $10.00 from each participant to help defray costs of the Workshop is being charged. If for any reason a Leader cannot legitimately afford to pay the fee, please inform Headquarters.
Transportation to Camp Oakley will leave from the Belize City Center at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and will depart at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday from Camp Oakley.
Handbooks for Cub Scout Leaders which cost $45.00 at Scout Shop will be made available at a reduced price of $20.00 during the month of April to members who do not own a copy or who would like additional copies, thanks to a small grant received from the Belize Scout Endowment Foundation. Each Cub Scout Leader should own a handbook if they are to implement the program successfully.
To attend, please confirm your participation by Wednesday April 14, 5:00 p.m. to enable us to plan and cater properly. Class A & B uniforms will be required.
Participants should bring their bedding needs and eating utencils.
