Scouting’s training slogan in Belize is “Each Scout Deserves a Trained Leader” and this is just what the National Capacity Building Team of The Scout Association of Belize is trying to achieve. Course Participants Introducing Themselves
This past weekend March 19 & 20, 2011, eighteen new Leaders from across the country participated in the second part of a training program aimed at introducing new Leaders in the proper use of the manual for Leaders of the Cub Scout and Scout Sections. The Cub Scout Leaders with Akela Jersha Director of Education Roberto Harrison and National Cub Scout Commissioner Jersha Lennan directed the two-day Course that aimed to equip these new Leaders with the necessary information in order to implement the programs successfully in their Cub Scout Packs and Scout Units. The Scout Section in Session Sessions during the Course included the growth areas of adolescents ages 7 through 15, the educational objectives of the program, the educational activities of the program, assessing personal development, and the program cycle. Participants & Trainers at the end of the Course The course participants are now ready to participate in a five-day Advanced Leadership Training Course scheduled for July this year.
