Dear Venture Scouts and Leaders
We have now received the official invitation to have Venture
Scouts and adult Leaders between the ages of 18 through 30 and
can speak English to be a part of the Boy Scouts of America
International Camp Staff program 2008.
This is a unique opportunity for Ventures Scouts and Scouters to
visit the United States of America and serve as a Boy Scouts of
America Camp Staff Member.
To be a camp staff
member, you must:

Be recommended by
The Scout Association of Belize.

Be a registered
member of The Scout Association and be between the ages of 18 - 30.

Be able to speak
English well enough to instruct Scouts in Skills.

Be able to teach
Scouting skills to Scouts in a summer camp program.

Be available for at
least eight weeks beginning in June.

Agree to live by the
culture and laws of the United States
As an international staff member at a Boy
Scouts of America camp in the United States of America, you will have
the opportunity to do the following:

Visit the United
States.

Make friends with
Scouts from another country.
-
Learn about another
Scout association.
-
Live in another
culture.
-
Share information
about Scouting and life in your country with youth in the United
States.

Improve your English
language skills.
-
Earn money while
working in a Scout camp.
Attached is detailed
information on the program. If you or anyone in your Venture Scout Unit
or Scouts Unit who meet the qualifications would like to apply,
please contact the National Scout Office before the end of November.
This will give us enough time to prepare for the candidates application.
