The Annual Planning Conference will be held on November 28 & 29, 2009 at Louisiana Government School in the Orange Walk District. Participants are expected to be in Orange Walk at 10:00 am sharp.
All Commissioners, Group Scout Leaders, Section Leaders and Assistant Leaders are encouraged to attend. Venture Scouts (one per Unit only) are encouraged to attend and be a part of the decision-making process for the annual plan for the year 2010. All representatives of District Assemblies should come prepared to present the activity they wish to host in 2010.
Accommodations will be available at the school, so please bring along your bedding or tents. Leaders who have relatives or wish to stay in one of the local hotels must make their own arrangements and at their own expense.
The registration fee is set at $15.00 thanks to the Orange Walk District Assembly Pro-tem Committee. The fee will cover lunch on Saturday, supper on Saturday night, and breakfast on Sunday. In the evening there will be a small social.
On Sunday all participants will attend Church Parade at La Inmaculada Catholic Church. Class ‘A’ uniforms should be worn. This will help with visibility for the district which is much needed to stir interest back into Scouting.
