National Cub Scout Camp 2010 will be held at Camp Oakley from July 1 to 5. Camps provide opportunities to have fun and lasting camping experiences.
The camp fee is $35.00 for Cub Scouts and Leaders and will cover the following:
* All meals starting with supper on Thursday July 1 and ending with a packed lunch on Monday 5
* The event badge
* Program Materials
* Tour to a place of interest
Cub Scout Packs should provide a packed lunch for their members at mid-day for the first day of camp.
A snack shop will be operational for the duration of the camp.
The program for this year’s camp will be based on the current Cub Scout program and will also enable some Cub Scouts to earn extra proficiency badges of interest to them.
Please Note: All Cub Scouts and their Leaders are expected to camp in tents at this year’s camp. ALL MEALS WILL BE PREPARED AND SERVED IN A CENTRALLY.
The Cub Scout Pack is a special environment where boys and girls form a friendly group aimed at fun and learning interesting things. Through life in the open air Cubs have the opportunity to discover natural rhythms, use all their senses, develop their imagination and lose their fear for the unknown. It also helps them to discover the importance of standing together, experience life in a simple and basic condition, marvel at creation, discover themselves and learn new things that are very far from a city-dweller’s everyday life.
So, we invite you to take the challenge and plan on attending this year’s camp along with your Cubs.
Deadline for registration is Friday June 25. Please meet the deadline date to enable us to cater properly and to ensure that everyone enjoys and have a happy camping experience.
Because of problems encountered with late registrations at past events, we will be observing the registration deadline and absolutely no registrations will be received after Friday June 25.
Program information and registration forms can be requested through the Scout Office.
