Workshop for Leaders of the Cub Scout Section (8:00 AM - 10:00 AM)
If you participated in the Workshop on the Cub Scout Program Part I held in the month of April, you are reminded of your commitment to participate in Part II Workshop scheduled for this coming weekend June 5 & 6, 2010 at Camp Oakley.
Day One - Saturday June 5
The program will start at 10:00 a.m. and is expected to run until 4:45 p.m. to include coffee breaks and lunch.
Day Two - Sunday June 6
The morning will start with a traditional Scout's Own after breakfast and then proceed with the final presentations. A special lunch will be held outdoors (weather permitting), during which time certificates of participation will be presented to the Leaders who attend the two Workshop.
The Scout Association is currently still facing some financial constraints and cannot at this time afford to cover the entire cost of this program. As a result we are requesting an administration fee of $10.00 from each participant to help defray costs. If for any reason a Leader cannot legitimately afford to pay the fee, you are asked to inform Headquarters by the set deadline.
Participants should proceed directly to Camp Oakley on Saturday June 5, but if anyone needs transportation to Camp Oakley please inform HQ at tel: 227-2168. A vehicle will leave from the Belize City Center at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and will depart at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday from Camp Oakley. Please remember to request a ride if needed.
Handbooks which cost $45.00 at Scout Shop will once again be made available at a reduced price of $20.00 to participants who do not own a copy at the course. Each Cub Scout Leader should own a handbook if they are to implement the program successfully and for reference at the course.
