Investiture at Corazon Creek, Toledo (All Day)

Plans are under way for the first investiture ceremony of Corazon Creek on March 26th 2010 at 10:30 a.m.  The Group is being led by Mr. Martin Palma and is being assisted  by two Scout Leaders, Mr Gavino Acal and Mr. Sebanias Choc.  They are planning to invest both assistant Leaders, 13 Scouts and 2 Venture Scouts.

Corazon Creek is a small community in southern Toledo approximately 2 hours from Punta Gorda through the Cotton Tree Lodge junction in Jacintoville.  There is one school building housing two classrooms and an outside palapa style house being the third classroom.  The Community also boasts its first ever High School which recently opened its door in September of 2009.

The Scouts have been preparing since October of last year to fulfill the requirements of the membership badge which initiates them to the World Wide brotherhood of Scouting.  At the cermony the Scouts make a personal committment through the Scout Promise.

Mr. Palma was a past Scout Leader of Santa Cruz Scout Group and is presently the Chairman of the Toledo District Assembly as well as the District Representative.  He is a very active Leader that has attended various Scouting activities throughout the country. He hopes that these new Scouts to be invested make the difference for this small community and pave the way for new aspiring Scouts and Cubs.
